Cyberpunk has some real amazing works, blade runner, the matrix, ghost in the shell…
And while steampunk had some hits with The Time Machine and such, they were almost 200 years ago. Best steampunk thing in modern times was probably league of extraordinary gentlemen, and although entertaining I think we can agree it wasnt exactly the blade runner of steampunk
But the vanhelsing game is exactly what i think steampunk needs for people like me to not just roll our eyes when we hear the genre mentioned. Great characters, fun story that actually deals with the issues implied with the genre, good setting, cool aesthetics, exactly what Im looking for.
